Quotes

Trey Jackson

"I feel super humble at having the chance to go out and compete. I have great teammates who made this whole thing possible. It's not just an individual race. I'm racing for everybody and with everybody. I'm humbled to get the school record. I know it won't last long with the guys we got running right now."

Sami Oblad

"I'm so stoked about [breaking the school record]. I've been waiting for it, so I'm pretty happy."

Mayci Taylor

"I'm super excited with my performance. I feel like this whole indoor season has seen me trying to put all these marks together on the same day. I knew I could do it individually, but putting them on the same day is a challenge. I'm really happy that things worked out."

Women's Distance Coach Diljeet Taylor

"I think we did some really good things in our prelims. Everyone advanced that we thought would. I think the women did a good job competing with what they had today. I'm overall pleased and hopefully tomorrow we'll continue to grab some points."

Men's Assistant Distance Coach Ryan Waite

"They made their presence known today, especially in the 5000m and the DMR. It was great to see Joey Nokes take second in the 5000m, a race that he led the majority of. We had some great performances for our freshmen, which is a good experience. I'm excited for Wyatt Haughton and his performance in the DMR. He stuck himself out there with guys who are All-American caliber. I couldn't be more proud of our guys."
