PAUMA VALLEY, California – BYU men’s golf is returning to the Golden State to compete in the Pauma Valley Invitational at Pauma Valley Country Club. The tournament will begin on Monday, Mar. 18, and conclude on Tuesday, Mar. 19.

"The Pauma Valley Invitational will be another great event for the Cougars," BYU head coach Bruce Brockbank said. "The course is in fabulous shape. The greens are challenging, with plenty of slope and speed, so playing from the fairway will give us the best chance to get close to some of the tricky hole locations."

Zac Jones, Keanu Akina, Peter Kim, Cooper Jones, and Max Brenchley will tee it up for the Cougars in the 54-hole tournament. They’ll face fellow Big 12 members No. 10 Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and TCU.

"The team had a great practice round on Saturday," BYU Director of Golf Todd Miller said. "They all really like the course design and setup and are excited to compete. If we are going to turn things around, we need to play cleaner golf."

The tournament will begin with tee times at 7:40 am PDT on Monday, with rain and thunderstorms in the forecast for both days of play.
