PROVO, Utah — No. 51 BYU women's tennis will host two Big 12 home matches this week with No. 31 Baylor on Thursday, and No. 54 TCU on Saturday.
The match against the Bears is set for 1 p.m. MDT and the match against the Horned Frogs will begin at 2 p.m. MDT. Fans can follow @byuwtennis on social media for live updates and visit byucougars.com for match results.
No. 51 BYU Notes:
- Head coach Holly Hasler is in her sixth season with a record of 70-51. Assistant coach Gabby Curtis is in her third season.
- The Cougars are 12-4 (4-3, Big 12) this season, and are coming off a 5-2 loss against No. 28 Texas Tech last week.
- Bobo Huang (11-3) leads BYU in singles victories with 11.
- Tina Li (10-5) is second on the team in singles victories with nine wins and picked up a victory in No. 2 singles over Texas Tech last week.
- Kara Wheatley (8-5) and Emilee Astle (8-1) both have eight singles wins during the 2024 season.
- Kendall Kovick (7-7) has seven singles victories in her first season with the Cougars.
- The doubles team of Wheatley and Li is currently undefeated with 12 doubles victories (12-0).
- Huang and Kaavya Sawhney's doubles record stands at 10-3 for the year, second on the team in doubles victories.
- Astle and Kovick are ranked No. 40 nationally as a doubles tandem.
- Huang is currently ranked No. 87 in singles nationally.
