INDIANAPOLIS—BYU's three players all showcased their skills and talents at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine over the weekend at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Offensive lineman Kingsley Suamataia, quarterback Kedon Slovis and punter Ryan Rehkow each had their opportunity to shine in the league's annual event which started Thursday and concluded Monday morning. The Combine brings the NFL's top scouts, coaches and general managers together to see invited pro prospects in person, test their skills and knowledge while getting to know players as they prepare for NFL opportunities.

Suamataia, BYU's highest-rated prospect, showed his unique combination of size and strength throughout the skills testing and workout drills over the weekend. He measured officially at 6-foot-5 and 326 pounds. His hand size of 10 and 5/8 inches was in the top five for measurements among all players. Suamataia displayed his strength in the bench press, logging 31 reps, third among all offensive linemen at the Combine.

The Orem, Utah product also ran the 40-yard dash in 5.04 seconds, tied for 13th among the 49 offensive linemen that participated in the event.  Suamataia also recorded a 28-inch vertical and a 9'2'' in the broad jump, both among the top half of offensive line prospects at the event. He did not participate in the 3-cone or 20-yard shuttle run.

During the field-work drills, Suamataia showed his ability to move in space, run, change directions and display his football ability with various drills.

Slovis, originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, impressed in the 40-yard dash with a 4.55 time, tops among the quarterback prospects that opted to run. Not usually regarded as a dual-threat quarterback and more of a pocket-passer, Slovis proved his athletic ability for NFL scouts at the event with a time that topped BYU's last quarterback drafted, Jaren Hall's 4.62 at BYU's Pro Day last year.

Slovis also measured well at 6'2.5'' and 223 pounds and participated in the jump tests with a 30-inch vertical and broad jump of 9'10''.

Slovis was able to make all the throws in the position drills, shining on a deep-ball pass with a 60-yarder down the sideline to a receiver in stride.

Rehkow, out of Veradale, Washington, also had an opportunity to showcase his punting talents for NFL personnel as one of only two punters at the Combine. While specialists typically don't participate in the skills testing, Rehkow was able to meet with several teams, conduct interviews with media and NFL coaches and scouts along with participating in on-field workouts.
