Oklahoma plated one in the bottom of the first with a single down the left field line, groundout and BYU error.

The Cougars answered in the top of the second as Udall launched a solo home run to right center, tying the game at 1-1.

Starting pitcher Kate Dahle got out of a two-on, two-out jam in the bottom of the second inning, inducing a fly out to keep the contest tied.

OU loaded the bases in the third, and after a force out at home, got a bloop single into right center that scored two, putting the Sooners in front, 3-1.

Gianna Mares came in as a relief pitcher in the bottom of the fourth inning, and after Oklahoma’s leadoff batter walked and reached third, she induced a pair of OU groundouts, keeping the Cougars’ deficit at two.

The Sooners batted through their order in the fifth, getting a double, two singles, a pair of walks, and a home run to go in front 7-1.

BYU loaded the bases with two outs in the top of the sixth inning, its first base runners since the second inning, but a fielder’s choice ended the inning, squandering the opportunity.

With Keila Kamoku, Ailana Agbayani and Huntyr Ava turning a double play and Dahle getting a line out to third in the bottom of the sixth, the Cougars sent the game to the seventh.

Kamoku led off with a double down the left field line, and Aleia Agbayani smacked a home run out to center field, her second of the season, cutting into the OU lead at 7-3. Ailana Agbayani singled, but BYU went down on a strikeout to close out the series.
