PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s basketball head coach Kevin Young announced on Friday the addition of Brody Kozlowski to the Cougars’ 2024-25 roster.
"We are thrilled to add Brody to our program," Young said. "He is a high character and high achieving student-athlete on and off the court, evidenced by winning back-to-back Player of the Year honors in the state of Utah. He will bring size, versatility, shooting and toughness to our program. It’s a great time for BYU basketball and we are excited Brody and his family are joining with us."
Kozlowski, a 6-foot-8 forward from Corner Canyon High School in Draper, is a four-star recruit and ranked 94th in the ESPN 100. The two-time Utah 6A Player of the Year finished his high school career with 933 points, 503 rebounds, 121 assists, 58 steals and 50 blocks.
He averaged 20.4 points and 8.6 rebounds as a senior, knocking down 40 3-pointers and leading the Chargers to a region title and runner-up finish at the state tournament. He recorded four double-doubles, including a 29-point, 16-rebound performance in his first game of the season against Copper Hills.
In four state tournament games in 2023-24, he averaged 23.0 points per game, going 28-of-43 from the floor, 12-of-19 from three and 23-of-24 from the free throw line. He also had 35 rebounds, 16 of those coming on the offensive glass.
In the semifinal against American Fork, Kozlowski finished with 39 points, going 12-of-16 from the floor, 6-of-9 from beyond the arc and 9-of-9 from the charity stripe. He scored 14 of Corner Canyon’s final 16 points in the 67-58 win over the Cavemen.

As a junior he averaged 16.9 points and 10.9 rebounds per game en route to being named the Utah 6A Player of the Year and 2022-23 MaxPreps Utah Player of the Year. He led the Chargers to the state title, finishing with 16 points and 11 rebounds in their 66-51 win over American Fork.
He scored in double figures in all but one game, including seven performances of 20 or more. He also had 19 double-doubles, highlighted by a 21-point, 22-rebound performance in a win over Murray High School.
Kozlowski’s mother, Kristen, appeared in 75 games including 40 starts for the BYU women’s basketball team from 2001-05. As a senior, she started in all 30 games for the Cougars, averaging 9.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per contest.
