PROVO, Utah — Cougar fans have some new digital tools to utilize as they get ready to kick off the 100th season of BYU football this Saturday.

"We are excited to offer BYU fans a myriad of digital tools that enhance the gameday experience at LaVell Edwards Stadium,” said Eric Bearden, BYU director of digital initiatives. “From exclusive app content to in-venue wayfinding and ticket management, the BYU Cougars app and byucougars.com will act as a digital tool belt for BYU fans and other fans visiting our venues."

Be sure to update to the latest version of the BYU Cougars App to utilize the following features

New Ticket Experience in the BYU Cougars App

This season, fans who tap into the BYU Cougars App will see a new ticket interface with new options. Within the app fans can get to their BYU Tickets account to download tickets, transfer tickets, download parking passes, transfer parking passes, sell tickets on Seat Geek, see upcoming events, utilize concessions credits, claim ROC tickets and view an all-new interactive map.

New All-in-One, Interactive Map

The new interactive map, found within the BYU Cougars App, offers an all-in-one solution for Cougar fans to view the entire BYU campus, see where to park, how to navigate through campus and then an option to zoom into LaVell Edwards Stadium for a detailed view to find seats, filter through concessions, locate restrooms, purchase a seat rental and utilize other attractions.

In-Venue Closed Captioning

In an effort to better serve deaf and hard of hearing communities, this season fans in the stadium can get closed captioning through the BYU Cougars App. In addition, this season all national anthems in the stadium will include a live ASL interpreter.

Enhanced Content Experience

Fans will have more ways to consume BYU Cougars content inside the app, with content circles, similar to Instagram Stories, along the top of the app. Additionally, there will also be a TikTok-style content feed, serving an endless supply of video content in the app.

"This content integration is the first of its kind in college athletics" said Tyson Hutchins, BYU associate athletic director for creative strategy. "The same technology utilized by the likes of the NBA and NHL is now in the BYU Cougars App. We are passionate about providing as much content to Cougar Nation as possible, and this new integration provides an unmatched content experience.”
