PROVO, Utah – The BYU women’s soccer team faces in-state rival Utah on Monday evening on South Field.
The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT and will be televised live on ESPNU.
LAST TIME ON THE FIELD. The Cougars faced the Horned Frogs on Thursday, Sept. 19 in Fort Worth, Texas. TCU beat BYU 4-1 in the conference matchup.

THE COUGARS. BYU (3-4-2, 1-1 Big 12) faced TCU on Thursday evening, falling to the Horned Frogs 4-1 for its first Big 12 loss of the season. Allie Fryer scored BYU’s lone goal of the match, her third of the season. Freshman Presley Freeman tallied the assist, the first of her career. Four Cougars saw the field for the first time during the match: Kelsey Hoopes, Mia Curry and Savannah Hansen.
THE UTES. Utah (4-3-2, 1-1 Big 12) faced Texas Texas on Thursday evening, falling to the Red Raiders 2-0 at the John Watkins Soccer Complex in Lubbock, Texas. Texas Tech outshot Utah 14-7 and had four corner kicks to Utah’s one. Goals came within a three-minute span from the 70th minute mark to the 73rd minute mark. This was Utah’s first Big 12 loss as new members of the conference.
COUGARS VS. UTES. The Cougars and Utes have faced 35 times previously, with BYU leading the overall series 25-7-3. The last time the two teams met was on September 9, 2023 when the Cougars defeated the Utes 6-1 on Ute Field in Salt Lake City, Utah. BYU had two braces in that matchup, one by former defender Olivia Smith-Griffitts and one by current forward Allie Fryer.
