Whiting is entering her third year at the helm of the BYU program that will welcome Big 12 newcomer Arizona to the Marriott Center to kick off conference play on Dec. 21. The last meeting between the two teams came on March 24, 2021, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. That night, BYU fell by six to the eventual national semifinalist Arizona Wildcats.

The Cougars will then embark on their east-coast swing with a New Year’s Day matchup at Cincinnati before heading further east to take on West Virginia on Jan. 4. BYU will then return to the Marriott Center for back-to-back home games against Houston and Kansas State on Jan. 8 and 11, respectively.

After the homestand, the Cougars will play two-straight road games against Texas Tech on Jan. 18 and Iowa State on Jan. 22.

Following the road trip, BYU will renew its rivalry with the Utah Utes on Jan. 25 at the Marriott Center in the first Big 12 matchup between the two teams. The last time the Utes and Cougars met as conference foes came in a 50-49 loss in the Mountain West Conference tournament on March 11, 2011.

BYU will then complete the newcomer trifecta with games against newcomers Arizona State and Colorado. The Cougars will first host the Buffaloes on Jan. 29 before heading to Tempe for a date with the Sun Devils on Feb. 1.

The last meeting with Colorado came on March 22, 2003, in an 84-45 loss in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. BYU last faced off with ASU on Nov. 17, 2021, as the Cougars downed the Sun Devils 55-44.

On Feb. 5, UCF will make its inaugural trip to Provo after BYU handed the Knights a 64-60 loss a year ago in Orlando in the first-ever meeting between the two teams. The Cougars will then make their first trip to Baylor’s new Foster Pavilion to take on the Bears on Feb. 8. Whiting earned her first career win over a ranked team against No. 18 Baylor last season.

BYU will stay on the road to take on the TCU Horned Frogs on Feb. 11 before returning to the Marriott Center for a date with the Oklahoma State Cowgirls on Feb. 15.

After the brief stop at home, the Cougars will be on the road again for their second matchup with the Arizona Wildcats on Feb. 19. After its trip to Tucson, BYU will return home to host Arizona State on Feb. 22 and Kansas on Feb. 25 in the final two home games of the 2024-25 campaign.

The regular season finale will come on March 1 as BYU will head 45 minutes north to take on the Utah Utes.

The Big 12 Conference Tournament will be held at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo., March 5-10, 2024.

“I’m really excited about what this team can do this year as I’ve seen their chemistry grow both on and off the floor this summer,” said Whiting. “This is a really competitive group that pushes each other every day to be their best which is encouraging going into our second run at the Big 12.”
