The Big 12 Conference releases its first-ever regular season gymnastics schedule.

PROVO, Utah — BYU gymnastics released the full 2025 schedule in conjunction with the Big 12 Conference on Tuesday afternoon. 

BYU finished the 2024 season ranked No. 25 in the nation with a 196.356 average and a 196.665 National Qualifying Score (NQS). BYU reached the top-25 rankings two other times during the season, coming in at No. 19 in week two and No. 24 in week seven.

In their inaugural season in the Big 12 Conference, the Cougars finished with an overall record of 12-17-1, going 3-5 in conference matchups and 2-2 at home in the Marriott Center. They finished ranked No. 24 on the uneven bars, No. 29 on the balance beam, No. 32 on vault and No. 37 on floor.

With two seniors taking advantage of their covid year and returning for the 2025 season, the Cougars will have a mix of veteran talent and seven new freshmen competing on the four events.

During the 2025 season, the Cougars are scheduled to participate in 12 meets leading up to the Big 12 Championship on Saturday, March 22.

The schedule starts with BYU’s first trip to the Nashville Invitational quad meet on Saturday, Jan. 4. Following their trip to Nashville, the Cougars will head to Oregon State for their first dual meet of the season on Saturday, Jan. 11.

BYU will then return to Utah for the first home meet of the year against in-state foe Southern Utah on Friday, Jan. 17th. 

The Cougars will compete in their sixth annual Rio Tinto Best of Utah gymnastics meet against Utah, Utah State and Southern Utah on Jan. 20 in the Maverik Center.

BYU returns to the Marriott Center for two-straight home meets, starting with a rivalry meet against Big 12 newcomer Utah on Jan. 24. UC Davis will visit Provo the following week, Jan. 31. 

The Cougars will then travel to Denver for their first conference road meet on Saturday, Feb. 8 before hosting West Virginia at home on Friday, Feb. 14 for a Valentine’s Day competition. 

BYU will head to Iowa State (Feb. 21) before hosting Arizona State for the final home meet of the season on Friday, Feb. 28. After hosting the Sun Devils, the Cougars will then head to Arizona to face the Wildcats on Saturday, Mar. 8.

The Cougars will travel to California for a quad meet featuring ASU, Cal and Washington on Friday, Mar. 14 for the final meet of the regular season.
