PROVO, Utah – After three-straight road matches, the BYU women’s soccer team returns to South Field for its last two home games of the season.
The Cougars will face Baylor on Thursday, Oct. 17 and Houston on Monday, Oct. 21. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m. MT and will be streamed on ESPN+ with Greg Wrubell and Carla Swensen on the call.
LAST TIME ON THE FIELD. The Cougars won their first road match of the season, beating the Kansas State Wildcats 1-0 Monday evening.

THE COUGARS. BYU (6-5-4, 4-2-2 Big 12) last faced Kansas State on Monday evening, taking home its first road victory of the season, 1-0. Junior forward Erin Bailey scored the lone goal of the match, her fourth of the season and third-straight game with a goal. Mika Krommenhoek now leads the team in assists with three. The Cougars had 17 shots on the night, 12 on target.
THE BEARS. Baylor (7-6-3, 2-4-2 Big 12) last played West Virginia, falling to the Mountaineers 2-0 on Sunday evening in Waco, Texas. Both teams had 14 shots and five saves in the match, but West Virginia had seven shots on frame to Baylor’s five.
COUGARS VS. BEARS. The Cougars and Bears have faced three times previously, with BYU leading the overall series 2-1. The teams last met on Sept. 21, 2023 in Waco when the Cougars defeated the Bears 4-0 for their first Big 12 victory as new members of the conference. In that game, current goalkeeper Lynette Hernaez had her first start as a Cougar and recorded a career-high six saves. Former Cougars and current professional soccer players Brecken Mozingo and Rachel McCarthy scored in that matchup, along with BYU’s leading scorer this season, Allie Fryer.
HOUSTON. The Houston Cougars (4-9-1, 1-7-0 Big 12) played the Arizona Wildcats on Sunday afternoon, defeating them 1-0. The teams were evenly matched with 14 shots apiece, but Houston’s Alexis Fowlkes found the back of the net to give her team its first conference win of the season. The Cougars will face the Utes Thursday evening before heading to Provo to face BYU on South Field.
COUGARS VS. HOUSTON. This year’s matchup between BYU and Houston will be the first meeting between the teams in program history. As the last home game of the season, Monday evening’s match will be a celebration of BYU’s senior class.
