FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – BYU men’s golf (298-295-299–892) finished in fourth place at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational on Wednesday.
Despite having to play in windy conditions, senior Cole Ponich led the Cougars after finishing tied for 10th going 5-over on the week. His scores were 76-71-74–221.
LSU (285-297-280–862) took the title over second place Mississippi State (287-297-294–878) and third place Louisville (301-288-301–890).
Peter Kim finished just behind Ponich at 6-over with scores of 73-73-76–222. Simon Kwon carded rounds of 75-74-74–223 to finish tied for 15th.
Sophomore Angus Klintworth completed the championship tied for 22nd after he recorded scores of 74-77-75–226.
Tyson Shelley (77-79-82–238) tied for 49th.
The Cougars tee off next at Big 12 Match Play in Hockley, Texas at Houston Oaks Country Club from Oct. 7-9.
