The Tiffany name is no stranger to Big 12 honors with BYU men’s swimmer Jordan Tiffany garnering five weekly awards from the league a season ago. This week, however, it was Tiffany’s younger sister, Haylee breaking onto the scene with Big 12 Women’s Newcomer of the Week.

A freshman out of Pleasant Grove, Utah and Lone Peak High School, Tiffany showed her versatility in College Station with performances in six different events, including three relays.

Tiffany notched her second event win of the young season as she clocked 1:51.57 to win the 200 free, with teammates Tatum Cooley (1:52.51) and Victoria Schreiber (1:52.54) in second and third, respectively. No. 20 Texas A&M’s fastest fell 1.13 seconds behind Tiffany while TCU’s top finisher came in three seconds later.

Tiffany finished top-10 in both the 100 and 500 free, then helped the 200 free relay “B” squad and 200 medley relay “C” squad each to fifth-place finishes. The Cougars’ 400 free relay “A” squad took third at 3:28.66 with Tiffany at anchor.

Hindmarsh recorded BYU men’s diving’s top finishes on platform (six dives) and 3-meter (six dives) in a tri-meet against No. 15 Texas A&M and TCU at the Rec Center Natatorium in College Station, Texas Oct. 18-19. In his first platform competition of the season, Hindmarsh posted 318.25 points with a runner-up finish. Hindmarsh also took fifth at 307.45 on 3-meter and 11th with a score of 258.35 on 1-meter.

The senior from Tomball, Texas earned All-Big 12 First Team honors on platform in 2024 along with Academic All-Big 12 and Scholar All-America Second Team designation. Wednesday’s award marks Hindmarsh’s first Big 12 Diver of the Week recognition.

Hindmarsh, Tiffany and the Cougars will be back in the pool for their home debut in a dual meet versus UNLV on Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. MDT.
