Halladay-Lowry won the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite 5000-meter race in 15:57.5, six seconds faster than the next finisher. Friday's win marked her second-career victory with her first being the Run Elite Classic on Sept. 9, 2022. She has now placed in the top five at 10 meets in her career.

Last cross country season, Halladay-Lowry placed fourth at the Big 12 championships to lead the Cougars to their first conference title across all sports. Halladay-Lowry earned All-America status, placing 34th at the 2022 NCAA Cross Country Championships and was also a part of BYU's national championship squad during the 2020-21 season.

The senior from Meridian, Idaho placed fourth in the 3000m and fifth in the 5000m at the 2024 indoor track and field championships. In June, she set a new personal best of 9:22.77 in the 3000m steeplechase to place ninth at the USATF Olympic Trials.

Halladay-Lowry ranks No. 2 in the 3000m steeplechase, No. 2 in the indoor 5000m, No. 3 in the indoor 3000m, No. 5 in indoor mile and No. 8 on the outdoor 5000m on BYU's all-time track and field record board.

BYU is the only team in the conference to have two different women earn Big 12 Runner of the Week awards this season. Jenna Hutchins earned the honor Sept. 17.

Halladay-Lowry and the BYU women are back in action on Oct. 19 when they preview this year's national course at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals.
