BYU women’s swimmers continued to tally fast times in Austin as they combined for 33 season-best times, 23 of which went for collegiate-bests as well. Five finishes also marked top-10 performances in program history.

"We had some fantastic swims today," said BYU head swim and dive coach Tamber McAllister. "We're incredibly proud of everyone's efforts and excited for another day tomorrow."

While facing opponents from No. 2 Texas, No. 4 Stanford, No. 10 Wisconsin, No. 16 USC and Pitt, the Cougars joined the Longhorns as the only two teams with two top-8 finishers in the 100 breast final.

Mackenzie Miller Lung knocked 0.46 seconds off her season-best time and finished the day in fifth at 1:00.53 after overtaking Pitt’s Jessie Strong for top-5 with a 0.56-second advantage.

Freshman Jasmine Anderson joined Miller Lung with a seventh-place finish in 1:01.20. Anderson improved her time by 0.28 seconds over the course of the day and now has the Cougars’ third-fastest all-time 100 breast in just her fourth collegiate meet.

Abi Furqueron gave BYU a third top-10 time in the 100 breast as she cut 0.27 seconds to go 1:02.02 and land at sixth in program history.

Lucy Warnick notched three personal-bests on Thursday, two in consecutive 400 individual medley races. The freshman from Las Vegas, Nevada chopped 12.1 seconds off her 400 IM to finish the day at 4:15.93 and No. 3 all-time at BYU. Warnick is one of just three BYU women since 2011 to swim sub-4:16.00 in the 400 IM.

Abril Arias also made a season improvement of over 12 seconds in the 400 IM and finished the day with a personal-best 4:22.67, good for No. 9 all-time at BYU.

Victoria Schreiber notched the Cougars’ fifth top-10 time of the day with a 0.59-second improvement to 1:49.00 in the 200 free. Schreiber debuted on the 200 free top-10 board at 10th.
