OMAHA, Neb. — The Jet Award Foundation today announce that BYU junior kick returner Keelan Marion is one of three finalists for the Jet Award, which honors the premier return specialist in college football.

Marion, a 6-0, 195-pound returner and receiver from Atlanta, Georgia, is the FBS co-leader in kickoff touchdowns with two and is seventh nationally in yards per return at 26.8. Through 11 games in 2024, Marion has returned 17 kickoffs for 455 yards. Following his 96-yard kickoff return for a touchdown at Utah, Marion was named the Jet Award return specialist of the week on Nov. 11.

In addition, Marion has 20 catches for 298 yards and a score in 2024, averaging 14.9 yards per catch as a receiver. He also has 14 carries for 79 yards and two additional touchdowns.

Now in its 14th year, the Jet Award celebrates the talents of players who excel on punt and kickoff returns. Marion joins Kam Shanks of UAB and Kaden Wetjen of Iowa as the 2024 finalists for the coveted award.

The three finalists for the Jet Award were voted on by a distinguished panel of voters including media members from the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), former winners of the Jet Award and award founders Johnny Rodgers and William Reed.

The award, named in honor of Heisman Trophy winner and College Football Hall of Famer Johnny "The Jet" Rodgers, will be announced following the FBS national title game on January 21, 2025, and presented at the Jet Award Gala on April 10.

The Jet Award Foundation raises money to provide scholarships to students majoring in the trades at Metro Community College and Iowa Western Community College. Since 2017 more than 300 scholarships have been awarded.
