The Cougar players, coaches and staff, many with family, were greeted by various members of the Valero Alamo Bowl and San Antonio community at the team hotel with music, gifts and welcoming smiles.

Upon arrival, head coach Kalani Sitake, along with defensive end Tyler Batty and quarterback Jake Retzlaff briefly addressed members of the media at the hotel.

"We are excited to be here in San Antonio," Sitake said. "Looking forward to the festivities and things we have planned this week. Our players are really excited about it. I know Colorado is already out here and I am looking forward to seeing them. For me, I am just really excited about being around the San Antonio area and the vibe of being here at the Valero Alamo Bowl."

Members of the travel party had a dinner together that even included a visit on Christmas Eve from Santa. The team also enjoyed the hospitality suite with games and treats the rest of the night.

On Wednesday, after spending Christmas morning together, the team will visit SeaWorld San Antonio for a bowl activity bringing both BYU and Colorado's teams together for the day.
