Marlboro, NJ – The BYU women’s gymnastics squad has been ranked No. 27 heading into the 2025 season as voted on by the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association, the organization announced Tuesday.

With 42 first place votes, the University of Oklahoma tops the preseason poll heading into the 2025 season, followed by the 2024 NCAA Champions LSU and Florida. All but three BYU opponents for the upcoming season have been ranked amongst the top 36 teams, with the other three receiving votes. 

BYU’s Big 12 conference matchups feature competitions against No. 5 Utah, No. 12 Denver, No. 20 Arizona State, No. 30 Arizona, No. 32 Iowa State and West Virginia (receiving votes). 

The Cougars begin the 2025 season with a trip to Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday, Jan. 4 for the inaugural Music City Collegiate Championship where they will face No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 17 Auburn and No. 23 Nebraska.
