FRESNO, Calif. — No. 42 BYU women's tennis secured its seventh win of the season and third consecutive victory, defeating Fresno State 5-2 on Friday.
The Cougars (7-1, 0-0 Big 12) are off to their best start since 2005, with No. 71 nationally ranked Bobo Huang improving to 6-0 in singles this season.
Senior Kara Wheatley improved her singles record to 6-1, while sophomore Tina Li moved to 5-2, and junior Maddy Smith remained undefeated at 2-0.
BYU has now secured three straight wins and will face Cal Poly tomorrow to conclude its California road trip.
