URBANDALE, Iowa — No. 35 BYU women's tennis defeated Iowa State 6-1 for its 12th victory of the season and fourth Big 12 Conference win. BYU improved to 12-2 on the year and 4-1 in conference play.
No. 74 nationally ranked Bobo Huang improved to 11-1 on the year in singles with her win over Anna Kuearum.
Sophomore Tina Li picked up her ninth singles victory of the season over Isabella Dunlap and improved to 9-4.
Senior Emilee Astle defeated Gala Arangio in singles for her sixth win of the season, improving to 6-1.
Fellow senior Kara Wheatley improved to 8-3 in singles on the year with her win over Juliette Nask.
Huang and Sawhney improved to 9-2 on the year in doubles together with their victory over Valeska San Martin and Gala Arangio.
Li and Wheatley continued to remain undefeated in doubles (11-0) with their victory over Juliette Nask and Ashlee Narker. Li and Wheatley's win today clinched the doubles point for BYU.
