BYU men's volleyball ranked in top-five for first time in four years

The AVCA released its first National Collegiate Men's Volleyball poll of the 2025 season, with BYU ranked at No. 5. The Cougars have not been ranked in the top-five since their 2021 season.

LEXINGTON, Ky.  — The AVCA released its first National Collegiate Men's Volleyball Poll of the 2025 season, with BYU ranked at No. 5.

The Cougars have not been ranked in the top-five of the national poll since their 2021 season when BYU finished as the NCAA National Runner-Up. In 2021, BYU was ranked either No. 1 or No. 2 for the enitrey of the season. BYU has been ranked in the top-10 since February 6, 2023 for a total of 30 consecutive weeks.

Starting 4-0 in the 2025 season, BYU travels to face No. 6 Ball State on Thursday, January 16 and Friday, January 17 this week.
