Denver men’s swimming comes in with a 4-0 record in dual meets with wins over Air Force, Colorado Mesa, Colorado School of Mines and Wyoming. The Pioneer women are 3-2 with dual meet wins over Air Force, Colorado State and Colorado School of Mines along with losses to Washington State and Wyoming.

BYU men’s swimming earned its fourth dual meet win of the season with a 161-101 defeat of UC Santa Barbara at the Richards Building Pool on Jan. 10. Darwin Anderson and Nathaniel Eliason led the Cougars with two first-place finishes a-piece while Max Kleinman, Tanner Nelson and Jacob Ballard added three more wins on the way to 161 team points.
While the BYU women fell to the Gauchos 146-116, Mackenzie Miller Lung maintained her consistent dominance in the 100 and 200 breast with finishes of first and second, respectively. The Cougars’ young talent continued to shine with as well with freshmen Jasmine Anderson, Sarah Eliason and Lucy Warnick each tallying wins.
RANKINGS REVIEW
The Cougars will face 18 different nationally ranked divers at the Cal Diving Invitational, including five from Hawaii. Chase Hindmarsh and Marti Llop give BYU two men’s divers with top 50 scores nationally on 1 and 3-meter. Hindmarsh jumped into the top 20 nationally in 1-meter scoring with a personal-best 346.65 at the Utah Dive Invite on Jan. 11.
Alexia Jackson Hansen ranks 35th on 3-meter and 24th on platform. Jackson Hansen will face three top 25 platform divers from UCLA and Hawaii in Berkeley.
BYU men’s diving brings four top-50 ranked platform divers to the meet with Hindmarsh leading the way in 16th on a season-best score of 318.25.
