PROVO, Utah — The BYU gymnastics team heads up north to face Utah, Utah State and Southern Utah for the sixth annual Les Olson IT Best of Utah meet at the Maverik Center on Monday evening.

THE COUGARS. BYU last competed in the Marriott Center against familiar foe, SUU on Friday evening. SUU took home the team victory, outscoring the Cougars 194.750-193.375. Despite the loss, BYU notched its first two individual scores above 9.9 this season as Anna Bramblett-Wilde scored a 9.925 on bars and Brynlee Andersen earned a 9.950 on beam.
THE THUNDERBIRDS. The SUU Thunderbirds last competed at the Marriott Center on Friday evening, taking home the win against the Cougars. Freshman Mia Hampton put together her first all-around meet of the season, earning a 38.875. SUU earned the top spot on podium for vault (9.825) and floor (9.875) and held onto their early lead to secure the win.
THE UTES. No. 4 Utah last competed against Iowa State and earned its highest score of the season with a 197.300 to earn the win. Senior gymnast Grace McCallum won the all-around with a season-high 39.475. She earned her second 9.975 on bars to win the event, while teammate Avery Neff took first on vault (9.9) and beam (9.925).
THE AGGIES. Utah State last competed against SUU on January 10 for its home opener at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, falling to the Thunderbirds 195.000-194.150. The Aggies scored a season-high on vault (48.875) and a season-high on bars (48.775) at the competition. Brianna Brooks took home the highest bars score, tying her career high with a 9.9 on the apparatus.
