PROVO, Utah — BYU men’s and women’s dive is set to compete at the Air Force Diving Invitational at Cadet Natatorium in Colorado Springs, Colorado Jan. 30-Feb. 1.

The Cougars bring two top-25 ranked platform scorers into the weekend with Chase Hindmarsh and Alexia Jackson Hansen. Hindmarsh hold’s the nation’s 16th-ranked platform score with a season-best 318.25 achieved in October in a tri-meet at Texas A&M. Jackson Hansen’s season-best 239.25 on platform also came in College Station and ranks No. 24.
BYU’s trio of freshman men’s divers, Marti Llop, Ezra Purcell and Bryce Roper also hold top-50 spots nationally on platform with Llop ranked 40th on 1-meter as well.
In last week’s tri-meet in Colorado Springs versus Air Force and Colorado Mesa, Marti Llop and Sophia DeBergh delivered standout performances for the Cougars. Llop finished second on both 1 and 3-meter with scores of 292.25 and 301.90, respectively. DeBergh led the BYU women with a third-place finish on 3-meter at 247.95 and scored 228.30 take sixth on 1-meter.
