BYU's Brayden Woodall named Big 12 Conference Video Coordinator of the Year

PROVO, Utah — The Collegiate Sports Video Association named Brayden Woodall, director of football video and technology at BYU, the 2024-2025 Big 12 Conference Video Coordinator of the Year.

Woodall was selected by his peers in the Big 12 to receive the Conference Video Coordinator of the Year honor.  He is now a finalist for the prestigious Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year award, which will be announced at the annual CSVA banquet on May 21 in Houston, Texas.

The Bob Matey award is presented to the video coordinator who displays innovation, determination, perseverance and technical skill as portrayed by the late Bob Matey, legendary video coordinator from Texas A&M.

Woodall is in his sixth year as BYU's director of football video and technology on the support staff of head coach Kalani Sitake. Woodall’s responsibilities include managing technology for the football program and implementing and overseeing the various coaches video needs of the program, including filming practices and games for performance scouting purposes and the exchange of NCAA and NFL game film.

This is the second time Woodall has won coordinator of the year, previously earning the honor for independent football programs for the 2021-2022 season. Brayden has been a member of CSVA since 2019.

Prior to his current role at BYU, Woodall served as the assistant video coordinator for the Salt Lake Stallions of the Alliance of American Football from 2018-2019. He previously served as a student video manager for the BYU football team from 2012-2018, including the role of head student manager from 2014-2018.

Before entering college, Woodall learned German and volunteered as a full-time missionary in Germany and Austria for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 2009-2011.

Originally from Roy, Utah, Woodall earned a bachelor’s degree in Family Life from BYU in 2018. He met his wife Mikaela at BYU and they were married in April of 2013. They currently live in Provo, Utah.
