PROVO, Utah – The No. 21 Cougars are competing in the John A. Burns Intercollegiate from Feb. 13-15 in Lihue, Hawaii at the Ocean Course at Hokuala.

"It's been great for the team to come to Hawaii and enjoy great weather and lots of golf," Director of Golf Todd Miller said. "We have been really successful on this golf course and have proven we can shoot some low scores, but it is always tough to follow up a great performance like we had in Arizona. The guys need to continue their intensity and stay present throughout the tournament."

Seniors Zac Jones and Cole Ponich, juniors Simon Kwon and Tyson Shelley, sophomore Peter Kim and freshman Kevin Wu are on this week’s lineup.

BYU will be entering an 18-team field, which consists of host Hawaii-Manoa, UNLV, Washington State, California-Long Beach, Texas A&M, Hofstra, Santa Clara, Grand Canyon, New Mexico, Fresno State, California-Berkeley, Missouri-Columbia, Saint Mary’s, No. 10 Illinois, No. 23 San Diego State, UTEP and No. 16 Utah.

"We have all been working hard throughout the off season and into the beginning of the spring semester," Ponich said. "We're hoping to keep our momentum going from our win in Arizona and get another one this week."

The Cougars tee off at 1 p.m. MST on Thursday. Follow live scoring on Scoreboard.
