FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Mackenzie Miller Lung earned All-Big 12 First Team honors as she clocked a school-record 1:58.27 in the 200 individual medley as the league’s 2025 swim and dive championships continued from Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center on Wednesday.

Miller Lung began the day with a 2:00.17 to take fifth in the 200 IM preliminary. In the A final, Miller Lung cut another 1.9 seconds for the school record at 1:58.27 in a fourth-place finish. Prior to Miller Lung’s performance on Wednesday, Sara Jayne Baldwin’s 200 IM record had stood since 2011. Miller Lung now has a third individual school record to her name with 200 IM joining her ownership of the 50 and 200 breast. On Tuesday, the junior from Clovis, California also contributed to a 200 medley relay record.

With Miller Lung leading the way, BYU women’s swim and dive recorded two all-conference performances, two other program top 10 times and eight personal best swims.

“After experiencing the increased competitiveness of the new Big 12 Championships this morning our team came back and demonstrated remarkable determination and spirit in their races tonight,” said BYU head swim and dive coach Tamber McAllister.

Victoria Schreiber shaved 2.26 seconds off her previous best to notch a personal-best 4:49.89 in the 500 free and advance to the event’s A final with a fourth-place finish in the preliminary. At 4:49.89, Schreiber also rose from eighth to third all-time at BYU. Schreiber then took sixth in the distance final at 4:50.52, good for All-Big 12 Second Team. The junior from Brighton, Michigan now has back-to-back seasons with all-conference second team honors after earning one in the 1650 free a year ago.

Lucy Warnick followed Miller Lung as the Cougars’ second in the 200 IM final and made the most of it with a personal-best 2:00.76 to take 18th. Warnick now ranks fifth all-time at BYU in the event. Halli Williams, Kara Martinson and Regan Geldmacher each moved on to finals as well. Williams finished 12th in the 50 free while Martinson and Geldmacher took 17th and 22nd, respectively, in the 500 free.

BYU women’s dive was led by Alexia Jackson Hansen in 1-meter competition. Jackson Hansen advanced to the final with a 248.15, then improved on that by nearly 26 points for an 11th-place finish at 274.05.

Through two days at the Big 12 Championships, the BYU women are in sixth with 251 team points. Events resume Thursday at 10 a.m. PST on ESPN+ with the 100 fly preliminary.
