FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Alexia Jackson Hansen qualified for nationals on platform as BYU men’s and women’s dive concluded competition at the 2025 NCAA Zone E Championships at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center March 11-12.
After booking her first career trip to NCAA Championships with a 3-meter qualifying mark on March 10, Jackson Hansen added a spot for herself on platform at nationals as well. Tuesday’s platform competition featured Jackson Hansen scoring 226.65 to take 12th in the preliminary then a jump to 259.85 and finish in seventh overall.
The junior from Mesa, Arizona capped her week at zones with a 13th overall finish in Wednesday’s 1-meter final. Jackson Hansen scored 234.95 in the final following a seventh-place prelim performance with 255.65.
BYU men’s divers Chase Hindmarsh and Martí Llop both advanced to the zone platform finals on Wednesday. Hindmarsh scored 328.05 to take 10th in the prelim while Llop came in 13th with a personal-best 305.50. The BYU tandem finished 12th and 14th, respectively, in the final. In Tuesday's 3-meter event, Llop and Hindmarsh came up short of the final, finishing 24th and 26th, respectively.
