BYU to face WVU, ISU at Big 12 Championship

With a final NQS of 195.920, the Cougars will compete in the afternoon session of the Big 12 Championship against West Virginia and Iowa State.

PROVO, Utah – The BYU gymnastics team will participate in the First Session of the Big 12 Championship on Saturday afternoon at the Maverick Center against West Virginia and Iowa State. The Evening Session will feature Utah, Denver, Arizona and Arizona State.

Even though the Cougars have the fourth best record in the Big 12, seedings for the championship were determined by National Qualifying Score with the top four ranked teams participating in the later session in a quad format while the remaining three programs will compete in a tri-meet.

Taking home the regular season Big 12 title its first year in the conference, Utah led the league in NQS rankings at No. 4. The Utes were followed by No. 18 Denver, No. 21 Arizona, No. 24 Arizona State, No. 33 BYU, No. 34 West Virginia and No. 37 Iowa State.

Saturday's afternoon meet will begin at Noon MDT on ESPN+ while the evening is slated for 5 p.m. MDT on ESPNU.
