IRVING, Texas — BYU’s Brynlee Andersen and Deb Silva were named to the 2025 All-Big 12 Team, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.

With an NQS of 9.905, Andersen is currently ranked No. 18 nationally and second in the Big 12 on beam, becoming one of six gymnasts recognized on the All-Big 12 Beam Team following the conclusion of the 2025 regular season. Competing on beam every meet this season, the Orem, Utah native earned Big 12 Event Specialist of the Week three times and earned a season-high 9.950 at BYU’s first home meet of the season against Southern Utah. With six scores above a 9.9 this year, Andersen has earned her title as BYU’s new Beam Queen.

As a true freshman, Silva has competed on vault in all but one meet this season and has contributed to the floor lineup in four meets, joining five other gymnasts on the All-Big 12 All-Freshman Team. With a career-high 9.925 on vault in last week’s Cal Quad meet, the Lindon, Utah native now holds BYU’s highest vault score of the season. She has earned six vault scores of 9.8 or above and earned her first Big 12 Newcomer of the Week award, proving her to be a crucial upcoming talent for the Cougars.

The Cougars return to competition on Saturday, March 22 as they take on West Virginia and Iowa State in the First Session of the Big 12 Championship. The meet will be at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah at 12 p.m. MT and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
