Seniors Cole Ponich and Zac Jones are tied for 22nd at 2-over-par to lead the Cougars. Ponich shot rounds of 77-69—146, highlighted by four birdies in his second round. Jones carded rounds of 69-77—146, including five birdies in his opening round.
Tohoku Fukushi shot 14-under to claim a stand-alone first place, seven shots ahead of second-place Santa Clara. Nihon, San Francisco and Michigan State rounded out the top five.
Tyson Shelley was close behind with a 74-73—147, tying for 26th. Simon Kwon shot a 5-over 149, placing him tied for 34th.
Peter Kim is tied for 50th, while Kevin Wu, competing in the individual competition, is tied for 45th.
