Full Release

Corrigan took the overall vicotry in the men's 3000-meter steeplechase this past weekend at the Willie Williams Classic. The junior clocked 8:43.57 across the line at the meet hosted by Arizona. Corrigan's finishing time ranks No. 1 nationally (TFFRS Outdoor Performance List) and No. 2 in the world in the Senior category for the 2025 season (World Athletics Rankings).

"I’m grateful to stand out in such a competitive conference this week," said Corrigan. "I hope to see more of my teammates here in the future since I know how hard everyone has been working."

It marked the first steeplechase for the Cougar since Corrigan competed on the world stage last summer at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The runner from Los Angeles, California qualified for Team USA with a 8:13.87 outing at the Penn Relays Summer Showcase.

Corrigan will compete next at the Stanford Invitational with his fellow Cougars Friday through Saturday Apr. 4-5.
