PROVO, Utah — Emma Calvert and Amari Whiting were named 2024-25 Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday.
The CSC Academic All-District award recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible for nomination, the student-athlete must be a starter or significant contributor and maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA.
Calvert is a three-time CSC All-Academic honoree and was the second-leading scorer for the Cougars during her senior campaign. The senior scored 12.6 points per game on 51 percent shooting, going 80 percent from the charity stripe on the season. She scored in double figures in 21 games and led BYU in blocked shots in 20 games during the 2024-25 season.
The Farr West, Utah native is in the first year of her integrated Masters of Information Systems Management (MISM) program and holds a 3.66 cumulative GPA.
This is Whiting's first CSC All-Academic honor as the sophomore now qualifies with a 3.56 cumulative GPA as a communications major. Whiting led the Cougars in steals with 60 on the season, 2.0 per game. She was also the third Cougar to average double-figure scoring at 10.3 per game on 38.9 percent shooting from the field. Whiting also recorded the second-most assists this season with 115, 3.8 per contest. Whiting transferred to Oklahoma State following the season.
