PROVO, Utah — The BYU gymnastics team faces No. 22 Arizona on Saturday, Mar. 8 at 1 p.m. MT at the McKale Center to close out Big 12 regular season meets.

THE COUGARS. BYU brought home its third-consecutive Big 12 win of the season, beating ASU 196.775-196.000 Friday evening. With a new season-high team score, the Cougars posted all four event totals above 49 for the first time this season. The Cougs also took the top spot on podium on each event over the weekend for the first time this season, led by 9.925’s from Eaquinto on floor and Andersen on beam. With their top performance against ASU, the Cougars swept the Big 12 weekly awards for the first time, with Eaquinto named Gymnast of the Week, Andersen receiving her third Event Specialist of the Week this season and Deb Silva earning her first-ever Newcomer of the Week award. Silva hit a new career-high 9.875 on vault, BYU’s highest vault score of the season. BYU’s Eliza Millar-Crossman is one of 59 nominees for the 2025 AAI Award, announced on Monday.

THE WILDCATS. No. 22 Arizona last competed against West Virginia, besting the Mountaineers 195.300-194.925. Gianna Lenczner scored a career high 9.775, while Amelia Rock scored a career-high 9.775 on beam in her collegiate debut. Their highest event total of the evening was a 49.050 on floor, led by a 9.850 from Emma Strom.
