PROVO, Utah – A four-run sixth inning from No. 22 Arizona proved too much to overcome as BYU baseball fell 7-5 to the Wildcats in the series rubber match on Saturday at Miller Park.

BYU (19-18, 6-12 Big 12) scored five runs on eight hits while Arizona (28-11, 12-6 Big 12) scored seven runs on nine hits.

“Arizona is really good on the mound,” said head coach Trent Pratt. “We scored five runs, which I think they’re giving up less than that every game. We just needed to find a way to close out the game.”
