GREEN BAY, Wis. — All-Big 12 First Team defensive end Tyler Batty and fellow first-team all-conference offensive tackle Caleb Etienne headline the potential draft class of former BYU football standouts at this week's NFL Draft taking place in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The 2025 NFL Draft, which will be televised on ABC, ESPN, NFL Network and ESPN Deportes, begins Thursday night, April 24, and runs through Saturday.
Batty and Etienne along with center Connor Pay, cornerbacks Jakob Robinson and Marque Collins, wideout Darius Lassiter and defensive tackles Blake Mangelson and John Nelson highlight more than a dozen members of last year's BYU football team seeking professional opportunities with NFL teams this week through the draft and subsequent free agent signings.
This year's draft will be conducted at and around Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers, including Titletown District and the Resch Complex. The 90th annual event begins with the first round on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET in Green Bay (6 p.m. MT). Draft selections continue on Friday at 7 p.m. ET (5 p.m. MT) with the second and third rounds before concluding Saturday with rounds 4-7 starting at 12 p.m. ET (10 a.m. MT). Undrafted prospects will then be available to sign as free agents on Saturday following the draft.

Last year, former offensive tackle Kingsley Suamataia was drafted in the second round with the 63rd overall pick by the Kansas City Chiefs. Suamataia played in 15 games as a rookie for the Chiefs, including two starts for head coach Andy Reid, the former Cougar leading the Chiefs.
In addition to Suamataia being selected, seven former Cougars inked free agent opportunities, including punter Ryan Rehkow, who also signed with the Chiefs before being picked up by the Cincinnati Bengals last summer. Rehkow won the starting job with Cincinnati and in his professional debut on Sept. 8, set the NFL record for gross punt average in a game, with a 64.5 yard average on four punts, breaking the previous mark of 63.6 set by AJ Cole III in 2023. He was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team after setting multiple franchise records, including single-season gross average (49.1), single-season net average (43.3), longest punt (80 yards), and best single-game average (64.5). Rehkow recently signed a two-year extension with the Bengals.
Historically, the NFL has drafted a former BYU player 155 times while another 217 former Cougars have received NFL opportunities as undrafted free agents following the annual draft.
