Erikson cleared 4.32m/14-2 on her third attempt to break her previous school record of 4.31m/14-1.75 set at the 2024 Big 12 outdoor championships and win Wednesday's competition by 19.5 inches.

"I definitely did not expect to have a good day today," said Erikson. "My warm ups weren’t great and the wind wasn’t ideal. I have also had a frustrating few weeks of practice. I was proud of myself for getting gritty in less than perfect conditions, not setting limits on my potential and for reminding myself that I really do love pole vault."
