"Overall, was on of the most solid meets we've had, and we've had a lot of solid meets," said director of track and field Ed Eyestone. "I'm really happy with the performances. There were lots of personal bests and top-10 times. Dalton Mortensen did things well and kicked things off right for us in the 10,000-meters. I'm very happy with our steeplers who followed and also did great. Isaac Hedengren did really well with a big personal best. Landon Heemeyer ran one of fastest by outings in the steeplechase by true freshman ever. It all came together with three guys under 13:30 in the 5000-meters, so that was amazing. I'm really pleased with the hard work and dedication today."

James Corrigan advanced to No. 5 in BYU records with his performance in the 5000m Friday night. The Olympic 3000m steeplechase runner showed his hand at the 5000m distance Friday night with a 13:27.39 outing. The junior produced a near 13 second personal best in the event.

Joey Nokes and Creed Thompson both showed out in the 5000m and earned program top-ten marks as well. Nokes finished the race in 13:27.89 to advance to No. 6 all-time. Thompson crossed in 13:29.22 to move to No. 7 all-time.
