Men's Preview

The men's team has seen recent success across position groups at the Texas Relays, Stanford and Triton Invitationals. 

The sprints crew headlined the Texas Relays with a 4x200-meter relay squad that earned a new school record. Eli Hazlett, Josh Taylor, Riley Hunt and Ty Oustrich each contributed to the program-best time of 1:23.31. 

The men's distance group saw notable performances in the 3000m steeplechase and 5000m at the Stanford Invitational. Isaac Hedengren secured an 8:32.86 outing in the steeplechase event and a third place overall finish. James Corrigan showed out in the 5000m with a 13:27.39 outing. 

Danny Bryant led the Cougars at the Triton Invitational with new personal bests in the discus and hammer throw. Bryant secured a 60.03m/196-11 mark in the hammer throw to win first overall in the event. 

First Team All-American Ben Barton will open up his 2025 outdoor season with a decathlon at the Bryan Clay Multis.

Women's Preview

The BYU women are coming off of a weekend with five top-10 program marks: Jenna Hutchins at No. 2 in the 5000m, Gretchen Hoekstre at No. 2 in the shot put, Carlee Hansen at No. 7 in the 5000m, Vanessa Alder at No. 8 in the 10,000m and Destiny Everett at No. 10 in the 10,000m.

The women's sprints, hurdles, jumps and throws will compete in Ogden April 11 and Salt Lake City April 12. 

Bobcat Invitational heptathlon champion Zoey Bonds will race the 100m hurdles Friday at Weber State. Freshmen high jumpers Cortnie Barker and Summer Young will also compete in Ogden on Friday. 

Second Team All-American Sami Oblad will open up her 2025 outdoor season Saturday at Utah. The senior will run the 100m for the first time of her career. 

The throws squad will throw the hammer and discus Friday in Ogden as well as as the shot put and javelin Saturday in Salt Lake City.

After this week's competitions, the Cougars will travel to California to compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational April 16-18, Pacific Coast Invitational April 17, Beach Invitational April 18-19 and Mt. SAC Relays April 18-19.
