IRVING, Texas — The Big 12 Conference, in conjunction with its national television partners, today announced kickoff times and broadcast network designations for the opening weeks and select Friday football games of the 2025 season, including four BYU games.

With its television partners ESPN, FOX and TNT Sports, the Big 12 announced more than 40 television selections across linear and streaming platforms for games involving Big 12 teams, including BYU's two nonconference home contests against Portland State and Stanford and its first home and away conference matchups at Colorado and versus West Virginia.

BYU's season opener in LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 30 against the Portland State Vikings of the FCS will kick at 6 p.m. MDT on ESPN+. The following week on Saturday, Sept. 6 the Cougars host the Stanford Cardinal of the ACC at 8:15 p.m. MDT on ESPN.

Later, BYU's first Big 12 game of the season at Colorado on Saturday, Sept. 27 will showcase on ESPN the rematch of last year's Valero Alamo Bowl in an 8:15 MDT kick. The Cougars return to Provo the following week for their conference home opener against West Virginia on Oct. 3 for a featured Friday night 8:30 p.m. MDT telecast on ESPN.

The remainder of the regular season’s television selections and game times will be announced on a 12-day or six-day notice via Big12Sports.com and the conference’s official digital platforms. The Big 12 season will then culminate with the 2025 Big 12 Football Championship at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, Dec. 6 on ABC.

The 2025 season marks the beginning of the Big 12's new media package that continues its partnerships with ESPN and FOX while adding TNT Sports to its football portfolio. TNT Sports will now televise an exclusive slate of Big 12 football games starting this fall following an agreement between Warner Bros. Discovery and ESPN last November.
