As the No. 6 seed, men’s golf is traveling to Reno, Nevada for the NCAA Reno Regional from May 12-14 at Montreux Golf and Country Club.

PROVO, Utah – As the No. 6 seed, men’s golf is traveling to Reno, Nevada for the NCAA Reno Regional from May 12-14 at Montreux Golf and Country Club.

The starting lineup includes seniors Cole Ponich and Zac Jones, juniors Tyson Shelley and Simon Kwon and sophomore Peter Kim. Kevin Wu will be present as a substitute.

BYU will compete against No. 4 Texas, No. 9 Virginia, No. 16 Alabama, No. 21 Duke, East Tennessee State, Fairfield, Cal, Mississippi State, San Diego, Sam Houston, Santa Clara and Central Arkansas. The top five teams and the lowest scoring individual not on those teams will advance to the NCAA National Championship, scheduled for May 23-28 at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California.

The 54-hole tournament will be spread across three days, with the opening 18 holes on Monday and the concluding round on Wednesday.

This marks the 27th time the Cougars have competed in NCAA Regionals since its inception in 1989, with 32 advancements to the NCAA National Championship.
