KANSAS CITY, Mo. — BYU men’s volleyball players Jackson Fife and Tyler Herget were both named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators in the men’s at-large category on Tuesday afternoon.

In order to qualify, the student-athlete must have a 3.50 GPA or higher, must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must have competed in 90 percent of games or started in 66 percent of games.

Fife earned a 3.79 GPA in microbiology in his third academic year at BYU. The junior libero led the team in digs with 179, averaging 1.85 digs per set. Fife appeared in 25 matches for BYU in the 2025 season.

Herget received a 3.81 GPA in accounting, totaling a team-high 818 assists while starting in 20 matches for the Cougars this season. Herget also collected the second-most digs for BYU behind Fife, with 143 total digs. The junior setter was also named Academic All-District in 2024.
