PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s basketball added another marquee matchup to its non-conference slate on Tuesday morning as the Cougars will play Wisconsin on Friday, Nov. 21, at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
The Cougars are 1-2 all-time against the Badgers, with the past two meetings being played at neutral sites. The showdown in Salt Lake City will be a rematch of last season’s NCAA Round of 32 thriller in Denver, Colo., where Richie Saunders scored a team-high 25 points in a 91-89 victory for the Cougars. John Tonje had a game-high 37 points in his final game in a Wisconsin uniform, the third-most points allowed by the Cougars in an NCAA Tournament game.
BYU is 22-5 in games played at the Delta Center, including a 68-49 win over Wyoming last December. Prior to a setback against South Dakota in 2022, they had won 17 straight at the home of the NBA’s Utah Jazz, highlighted by victories over Utah (2018), Virginia Tech (2012) and Oregon (2011).
Games played at the Delta Center this season are considered neutral site games and will not be part of the season ticket package. Ticket information will be released at a later date.
