GREENWOOD, Indiana – Meghan Hunter, Jenna Hutchins and Maren Garnett were each honored as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-Americans, the conference announced Tuesday.
To qualify, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have a GPA of at least 3.50 and rank top 50 at the 2025 NCAA regionals or in a Track and Field Results Reporting System (TFRRS) regional event. Relay marks may support but not determine eligibility.
Earning a spot as a First Team All-American, Hunter holds a 3.89 in communication disorders. Earlier this month, she was named the female recipient of the Big 12 Bob Bowlsby Award, the most prestigious honor for a Big 12 student-athlete. The senior won the 800m at the Big 12 outdoor championships, crossing in 1:58.99. Additionally, the Provo, Utah native set the No. 1 all-time mark at BYU in the outdoor 800m at the 2025 NCAA West Preliminary Round, finishing in 1:58.95.
Hutchins, a junior, posted a 3.96 in communication disorders and earned Second Team All-American honors. She placed third in both the 3000 and 5000 meters at this year’s indoor Big 12 Championships. Hutchins was named a Second Team All-American at the outdoor NCAA Championships after running 15:31.42 in the 5000m.
Garnett claimed Third Team All-American honors. Hailing from Spearman, Texas, she is majoring in dietetics with a 3.92. Garnett set the No. 1 all-time mark in the indoor pole vault with a clearance of 4.46m/14-7.50 at the indoor Big 12 Championships, where she placed fifth.
