LEXINGTON, Ky. — BYU outside hitter Claire Little Chambers has been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Player of the Year Watch List, the organization announced on Thursday.

Little Chambers is one of two Big 12 student-athletes named to the AVCA’s 30-player award watch list.

The junior was named an AVCA and VolleyballMag All-America Honorable Mention last season, and was also awarded AVCA All-West Region and All-Big 12 First Team honors.

She finished third in the Big 12 in both kills per set (3.88) and points per set (4.39), recording double-digit kills in 24 of the Cougars’ 29 matches, with six double-doubles.

A Temecula, California native, Little Chambers married Gavin Chambers, a middle blocker on BYU’s men’s volleyball team, this summer.

The Cougars will kick off their 2025 campaign hosting the dōTERRA Classic, with the season opener against Fairleigh Dickinson set for a noon first serve on Friday, Aug. 29.
