TORONTO – BYU guard Delaney Gibb will suit up for the Canadian National Team: Toronto at the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Edmonton Stop, Aug. 1-2, Canada Basketball announced on Thursday afternoon.

Gibb, fresh off a bronze medal at the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup during her first stint with the senior national team in June, will make her first appearance on the 3x3 stage when she takes the court tomorrow in Edmonton.

At the AmeriCup, Gibb averaged 9.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game en route to a 5-2 record in Chile. The BYU standout also recorded the game-winning assist as time expired to secure the bronze medal for Canada in its win over Argentina.

Gibb will join University of Regina guard Jade Belmore, Robert Morris forward Julia Chadwick and Washington State guard Tara Wallack on Team Toronto for the women’s series stop in Edmonton.

Team Toronto is ranked 12th in the pre-tournament rankings and sits in Pool D along with Chile and France. Toronto will first face Chile in the opening game of the event at 4:00 p.m. MT before finishing pool play with a 7:40 p.m. MT bout against France. The top two teams from each pool will advance to the quarterfinals on Saturday, Aug. 2.
