Four Cougars land on podium at TYR Championships

Cougar aquatics finished in second place in the 800 M free relay Thursday night.

IRVINE, Calif. - BYU men's swimming was well represented Thursday night as four members of the team finished second at the TYR Championships in the 800M freestyle relay.

Swimmers Darwin Anderson, Payton Plumb, Jacob Ballard, and Max Kleinman earned a time of 7:38.60, placing them in second place in the 800M free relay. They competed alongside the Tsunami Swim Team of K.C., Ohio State University, and the Sandpipers of Nevada. 

In addition to the second-place performance, Anderson, Plumb, Ballard, and Kleinman placed fifth in the 400M medley relay with a time of 3:48.48. Kleinman also finished fifth in the 50M fly, earning a time of 23.88.
