PROVO, Utah – BYU will face Miami in the opening round in the Magic Bracket of Terry’s Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational on Thanksgiving, the organization announced on Tuesday afternoon. Tip is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Georgetown and Dayton will face-off in the other semifinal at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The third place and championship games will be played on Friday, November 28, at 7 and 9:30 p.m. ET.

The matchup between the Cougars and Hurricanes will be the fifth all-time meeting and first since a 107-89 setback for BYU on Feb. 4, 1989, in Miami. Second-year head coach Kevin Young is undefeated against ACC opponents with the Cougars picking up a 72-61 victory over NC State in the third-place game of the Rady Children’s Invitational last season.
BYU opens the 2025-26 season on Saturday, Oct. 18, when the Cougars face Nebraska at Pinnacle Bank Arena in an exhibition.
