IRVING, Texas — Five members of BYU’s swim and dive programs were recognized with the Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award, the Big 12 Conference announced Wednesday.
The honor, regarded as the league’s highest academic distinction, requires student-athletes to letter at least once in their collegiate careers, complete a minimum of one year at their university, and earn at least 100 credit hours while maintaining a GPA of 3.80 or higher.
Swimmers Emerson Edwards, Kylee Conrad, Katya Hulse, and Victoria Schreiber, along with diver Brooklyn Larson Clouse, were among those honored for their success both in the classroom and in competition.
Looking ahead, Hulse and Schreiber will return to compete for the Cougars in the 2025–26 season.
