BYU Athletics has launched GoCougs.travel, a new fan-powered travel platform created in partnership with Waypoint to provide discounted global travel while generating recurring support for BYU student-athletes. The launch comes at a pivotal moment in college athletics as programs nationwide adapt to the realities of the House v. NCAA settlement, expanded student-athlete compensation, and new roster structures.

GoCougs.travel gives fans and alumni a direct, meaningful way to contribute to BYU Athletics. A portion of every dollar spent through the platform goes back to support BYU Athletics.

“At BYU, we are committed to solutions that reflect our values of community, integrity and stewardship,” said Casey Stauffer, BYU Associate Athletic Director for Corporate Sponsorships. “We’re proud to be pioneers in crowd commerce, inviting fans and alumni to make a lasting impact through something they already do — travel. This initiative not only helps sustain our athletic programs but also supports our student-athletes in this new era.”

GoCougs.travel allows fans to book hotels and accomodations with exclusive discounted rates, while giving back to BYU Athletics at no additional cost. With even modest participation—just one or two trips per year—fan and alumni usage of the platform is projected to generate millions in recurring annual revenue, helping fund student-athlete compensation, program growth, and other department priorities.

“Our mission at Waypoint is to help universities turn loyalty into lasting impact,” said Matt Sanders, CEO of Waypoint. “The GoCougs.travel program shows how fans can make everyday choices that directly benefit the universities, teams, and student-athletes they love. Together with BYU, we’re proud to help set a standard for innovation and integrity in this new college sports era.”

Supporters can create a free account and access exclusive savings at more than 850,000 hotels worldwide. With every booking, Cougar Nation helps build a more sustainable and competitive future for BYU Athletics.
